Since our inception, our community has not only grown but also firmly rooted itself in the downtown area, showcasing a harmonious blend of Islamic tradition and contemporary life.

Mohammed Kaiseruddin
Chairman
Dr. Kaiseruddin has served the Chicago Muslim community in various leadership capacities for over 40 years, including as the Co-Founder and Chairman of the CIOGC and the President of the Muslim Community Center. Professionally, he has a PhD in Nuclear Engineering and is currently retired.

Dr. Abughazaleh has been extensively involved with many NGO’s most notable is his involvement with the Palestine Children’s Relief fund for 20 years, in which he has led over 40 surgical missions to Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon and Jordan, in addition to serving on the PCRF board of directors including 6 years as the immediate past chairman. He is also involved with the Palestinian Student Scholarship, the Jerusalem Fund, and The Downtown Islamic center.
